Year Roundup -2021 : Though it’s a quite tough year – Dr. Venkatesh Chittarvu

2021 has been a tough year for all of us and It has been quite a tough year for me as a Doctor.

In fact  2021 was a comedy of errors as we had the farmers agitation and the PM backed off and Farmers celebrated with Gusto.  But I am sure the country has a great future unlike China where there is “Fake Socialism” and “State Sponsored Capitalism”

The second wave really ripped Delhi off and there were times when patients suffocated because of Oxygen. This was the year when I felt helpless watching all those dead bodies burning and being cremated in New Delhi and Bangalore and by the end of May as the Second wave subsided India’ reputation was throttled by Page 3 journalists who felt that showing these images would boost up their TRPs. And they were the deniers who felt Patriotism was the Opium to cure the disease called Corona, the guys who felt that doing things associated with an ancient religion could cure Corona. In Krishnapatnam, Nellore district a quack called Anandiah distributed a spurious medication and even the Govt of AP for political reasons endorsed it and it was like the Bollywood movie “Peepli Live”.

An accident and rescue

Personally my most difficult experience was seeing a RTA (Road Traffic Accident) in Amberpet, Hyderabad, Telangana where a kid of 7 years old was hit by a drunk motor cycle driver. Thankfully I was on the road and we called ambulance and patient had no money…Gandhi hospital people were very polite and CT scan was taken and we were all thinking the kid shouldn’t go for surgery as the patient’ family was from Zaheerabad, Telangana and couldn’t Rs 2-3 lakhs of surgery to remove the clot in the brain. The neurosurgery Dept in Gandhi ensured that patient was healed with just Rs 200 and today the kid is playing hale and healthy.

We had Sonu Sood pooling helping people and We had actors such as Prakash Raj who spoke more but did nothing but more importantly what was important was the average Indian who Telupu TV represents.

A comedy of errors

2021 was a comedy of errors as we had the farmers agitation and the PM backed off and Farmers celebrated with Gusto. And India achieved heights of vaccinations under the very PM who stood helpless as thousands of migrants walked from Delhi and Mumbai to native places in UP and Bihar.

We had Sonu Sood pooling helping people and We had actors such as Prakash Raj who spoke more but did nothing but more importantly what was important was the average Indian who Telupu TV represents.

The visit to “Samanya Shastram” Telangana Art gallery, The Rebound of Palamuru town from drought prone area to prosperous zone, the construction of huge Yadagirigutta temple and achievement of 90% of Vaccination in India is not a joke and despite hurdles India is doing great things.

The average Indian is working hard despite the petrol and diesel prices skyrocketing. Mehengayi, Rozgari are issues that few people talk about while the rich become richer and poor become poorer.

Intolerance has increased and people are branded “Urban Naxalites” and are Anti-Nationals. Minorities have had issues but in general there has been positive issues. Good Movies I have watched in the year I could rate in no order.

  1. Aranya (Bollywood). 2. Drishyam 2(Kerala), 3. Oliver Twist (Kerala), 4. Garuda Gamana Vrishaba Vahana (Karnataka), 5. Net(Telangana)

GGVV is about two notorious gangsters in Mangalore in Coastal Karnataka and is a remarkable movie in Kannada industry.

Aranya dealt with struggles of people who are branded Maoists and the looting that’s carried out by corporates in form of real estate in Central India. Oliver Twist dealt with Geriatric loneliness. GGVV is about two notorious gangsters in Mangalore in Coastal Karnataka and is a remarkable movie in Kannada industry. Net deals with net addiction in India in particular in Telangana, Surveillance and Rich-Poor divide in Telangana State.

Indian Metros are getting more crowded but there is still hope in Tier 2 cities and India is a developing country. Once the country bridges the rich and poor divide and works for everyone and inclusive. I am sure the country has a great future unlike China where there is “Fake Socialism” and “State Sponsored Capitalism”
