MAN AND THE OLD SEA : Watercolours on Fabriano paper
It has been around for a long long time.
It’s old. It’s the same. Yet new every day and night.
It’s blue and red. It’s dark and pale. It’s all there is.
It conceived him. Fed and raised him.
It tested him. Devastated him. It starved and killed him.
He hated it. He loved it. He feared it.
Never left its lap, though.
And it ,on it’s part, never ceased calling out to him.
That is a bond made at the beginning of space and time. In that exploding singularity.
That is a timeless tale of love.
Every moment a frozen eternity. Every movement a story in its entirety.
It is where he belonged. He is the reason it ever existed.
Call it sea. Or life….whatever !
